' Sir John Mears and Mr Dalrymple Son of Sir David Dalrymple were ballotted and approved for Election.

A petition of Mr Thomas was read desiring some augmentation of Salary, or recompence over and above the Pay of House Keeper and Clerk.

Ordered that Mr Thomas be considered for what Service he shall have done the Society over and above the duty of his Post as House Keeper and Clerk and particularly for making the Catalogue of the Library. '
