' The following Candidates were each put to the Ballot for the approbation of the Council;
Mr De la Motte, Mr Zollman, Mr Carey, Dr Jussieu, Mr Jacobson, Mr Carr, Dr Francis Clifton, Mr Lockyer

Among which the following were approved to stand for election;
Mr De la Motte, Mr Zollman, Mr Carey, Dr Jussieu, Mr Jacobson, Mr Carr and Dr Francis Clifton

The first Statute in the Minutes of Council 17 April was Ordered a Second reading and an Amendment was proposed and agreed to Viz that instead of the words
No Person under the degree of a Peer of Great Britain or Ireland
the following Words should be incerted
No Person unless one who has the title and place of a Baron of Great Britain or Ireland or Some higher title and place or unless he become one of his Majesties privy Council of either of the Said Kingdoms Shall etc

Some debatse Arising upon theSaid Statute and the following Statutes mentioned in the Said Minutes the further consideration therof was referred to the next Council. '
