' Resolved that there is a necessity of a New Election of a Clerk in the place of E. Halley, and that it be propounded to the Ballot, whether Halley be continued or no.

Ordered that the Treasurer pay E. Halley thirteen pounds and ten shillings in full for five dozen Transactions of a sort from No. 179 to No. 183 Inclusive, which have been delivered for the Societys use to Mr Hunt.

Ordered that at the next Councell a Committee be appointed to inspect the books of the Society to see if the Entryes be duly made.

Ordered that Mr Papins book of Experiments and about the improvement of the New Digester and Air pump be licenced to be printed : which the Vicepresident was now pleased to doe. '
