' Ordered tht Mr Hook have the postage of all letters of Philosophicall Correspondence allowed him on conditin that he publish Transactions or Collections as formerly and that in considertion thereof, the Society will take off 60 books, according to the order of Councell November 27th, 1689.

Sir John Hoskyns proposed Signor Jacomo Grande recommended by the Bishop of Salisbury for a candidate upon the Ballot he was approved with no Negative.

Mr Hunts Salary being 20 pounds due on July 14th 1690 was ordered to be paid him.

It was put to the Question and Ballotted whether E. Halley shall have the Liberty to propose a fitt deputy in his absence to be approved by the Councell of the Society ; and it was carried in the affirmative.

Ordered that the Treasurer do pay to E. Halley one hundred pounds being two years Salary due to him on January 27th 1689

And that the year and three quarter salary now accruing due to him be allowed him to all intents and purposes as if he had obtained an order for the payment thereof. '
