' The President proposed Candidates the Lord George Douglas second son to the Earle of Queensbury and Mr Heinson an Hanover Gent : and Dr Gregory professor of Astronomy in Oxford. Mr Southwell Mr Lane and Mr Blackwell were also proposed and upon the ballott were all approved for Election.

Ordered that E. Halley have £37.10.0d paid him for3/4 of a years Salary due October 27th, 1691

Ordered that Mr Hunts Salary be paid him in full till July 14th, 1692 being £20 for half a year.

Mr Hill was desired to speak to Dr Grew to procure from Sir Thomas Clarges a book long since lent him out of the Society's Library.

Dr Gale was desired to consider of an Inscription for Mr Boyles picture this day delivered by Dr Hook to the Society from Mr Boyles Executors.

Dr Slone [Sloane], Mr Walton, Dr Havers and Mr Pittfield were appointed a Committee to inspect the Books and Papers of the Society. '
