' Dr Halley was Sworn as Vice President.

Mr Theobald produced Several workmens bills paid by him for the use of the Society in all amounting to the Sum of £34..2..3 which being examined and approved by Ballot it was Ordered That the Treasurer pay the amount of the Said Bills to Mr Theobalds.

Dr Rutty produced two bills of Expences in cleaning and repairing the Pictures in Both amounting to the Sum of £29..6..0 which being approved by Ballot it was Ordered That the Treasurer pay the Same.

Mr Mallory Tenant to the Society in Crane Court was present and represented that there was a Necessity of making Some repairs in the House to keep it Tenantable, And that he was willing to take a Lease of the House upon condition Such repairs were made.

Ordered that Mr Hauksbee imploy a Workman to take a Survey of the House and make his report to the President that it may be laid before the next Council.

Mr John Swinton, Mr Gibbs the Architect, Sir John Clerk, Mr Alrutz, Mr Roleserius and Mr Peter Kinck were Severally put to the Ballot and approved as Candidates.

Resolved That the Secretaries be impowered to Employ and Bargain with proper Amannuenses to compleat the Copies of the Register and Letter Books of the Society.

The Vice President recommended the Revival of the Committee for inspecting the Library and Repository, and proposed that the Gentlemen present at this Council be of the Committee with Dr Massey, Mr Martyn, Dr Mortimer and Such other members of the Society as Shall be willing to assist them. '
