' Mr Sloane and Dr Zachary Pearce were sworn of the Council.

It being represented, that it might be of Service to the Society to have the Instruments used by the late Mr Stephen Gray for performing his Electrical Experimentes; it wa proposed and agreed to, that his Executor should be treated with, for the purchase of the same: and
Mr Wollaston and Dr Mortimer were desired to undertake the Commission.

Resolved that the License for making a composition for the Arrears shall continue in force no longer than till Lady day next.

Ordered that to prevent the Increase of Arrears it be a constant Rule for the Clerk to make a demand once a year of each Member, either personally or by Letter, of the Arrears due from him.

A Lease of the Society's house in Coleman Street to let the same to Mr Benjamin Blackden for seven years at the yearly Rent of thirty six Pounds, to commence from Michaelmass next, was read and examined with the Counterpart. And the Question being put and agreed to by Ballot, that the publick Seal should be affixed thereto : it was accordingly sealed and signed by the President and Members of the Council present.

Ordered that the Screw Press be procured, for affixing the publick Seal to Deeds in a more commodius manner.

Ordered, that Mr Tyler be impowered to take judgment on the Bond of forty Pounds due from Staines the elder and younger, with a Stay of Execution to the last day of next Term; or receive twenty Pounds in part thereof, and thereupon stay further Proceedings till next Term.

Ordered, that three Guinea's be paid to Mr Tyler for his trouble in the Recovery of Mr Staines's Rent.

Ordered, that two Guinea's be paid to Mr Tyler for the Society's Share of the charge in the draught of the Lease with Mr Blackden.

Ordered, that Mr Tyler write a Letter to Mr Roger Life the Society's Tenant at Acton, that he forthwith pay the remainder fo the year and a half's Rent, that was due at Michealmass last.

The following Bills were passed by Ballot, and ordered to be paid.

Mr Hauksbee's Bill for copying the Minutes and Duplicates from October 14: 1734 to December 18:1735 amounting to £11.2.9
The Printer's Bill to December last £5.7.0
The Glazier's Bill to November 26. £1.10.1. '
