Among matters discussed or noted: the minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Treasurer reported on sale of stock, producing £2,174 17s. 6d. The Duke of Buccleuch applied for an extension to his admission to the Fellowship, granted. The Observations on Tides to be printed as an appendix to Philosophical Transactions, with 100 copies made available to Mr. Lubbock. George Biddell Airy requested volumes of Maskelyne's Greenwich Observations, to aid in reductions of planetary observations made by Bradley, Maskelyne and Pond, granted. Application to be made to the Admiralty for copies of the Nautical Almanac to help Mr. Dessiou. |
