Among matters discussed or noted: minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Letter received from Mr. Few, stating that the Great Western Railway would not now pass through the Society's land at Acton. Application from the Depot de la Marine for Greenwich Observations of 1823, 1824 and 1832, granted. Resolution on the repeal of Statute V Chapter 1 stating that no elections of Fellows of Foreign Members shall take place except in certain months. Resolutions on the reading of certificates of election. Repeal of a resolution of 12 April 1832 ordering a circular with the names of candidates to be sent to Fellowship two weeks before the ballot. Letter from William Deville asking to examine a paper on a lamp invented by Count Rumford, granted, if the paper was indeed in the Societys possession. |
