Commencing with a list of Council members present: George Biddell Airy; Dr. John Bostock; John George Children; Samuel Hunter Christie; Joseph Henry Green; George Bellas Greenough; Charles Konig; William Lawrence; Dr. John Lindley; Reverend George Peacock;; William Haseldine Pepys; Peter Mark Roget; the Treasurer, Francis Baily, in the chair.

Among matters discussed or noted: minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. List of bills ordered to be paid. Letter from Dr. Ernst Dieffenbach requesting permission to have 1,000 impressions from the plates illustrating the papers of John Hunter, for a translated edition of his works, granted. List of President, Officers and Members of Council for the ensuing year.
