Among matters discussed or noted:
1. Seal of the Royal Society affixed to an address to be presented to Professor Loubet on his visit to England, and sent to the French Ambassador. 2. Letters received from the Admiralty, on an accident to H.M.S. Traveller, with no other vessel available to serve as a platform for upper atmosphere observations with kites for the Committee of the Meteorological Society: £200 allocated from the Reserve Fund of the Government Grant Committee for the hire of a steamer. 3. Correspondence of the Antarctic Relief Expedition read and ordered to be circulated to members of Council. 4. Physics and Chemistry Sectional Committee requested to report on applications to the Mackinnon Studentship in the A Division.
