DescriptionThe first folder contains correspondence relating to a trip to Australia taken by John and Rita Cornforth in 1970. The file also contains lecture notes for the talks delivered at various institutions in Australia, a list of institutions visited is included in the file they are: University of Western Australia; University of Sydney; CSIRO Canberra; University of Queensland; James Cook University; University of New South Wales; the Flinders University of South Australia, University of Adelaide; University of Tasmania; Royal Australian Chemical Institute; University of Melbourne.
The second folder, concerns a visit to Australia in 1985, by both John and Rita Cornforth. The folder contains correspondence from before and after the visit, as well as postcards (not written on) from their trip.
The third folder, concerns a visit to Australia in 1992, again by both John and Rita Cornforth. A number of (copy) letters in this file, relate to Sir John Cornforth borrowing slides of astronomical for lectures on his visits.
