DescriptionThe correspondence between Robert Robinson and John Cornforth begins after the period that Cornforth worked in Robinson's lab in Oxford. The letters largely concern work being undertaken by both scientists at their respective Shell labs. The correspondence also includes mentions of their chess games, conducted by post. In 1976 Cornforth corresponds with others following the death of Robinson and the file also contains correspondence and papers concerning the work on Robert Robinson's archive by CSAC, which Sir John Cornforth helped with and correspondence concerning the Robert Robinson biogrpahical memoir. The memoir was co-written by Sir John Cornforth and Lord Todd.
