DescriptionSmall collection of Jonh Cornforth's laboratory notebooks and literature notes. Not all of the books are dated, and may in fact be earlier than the known dates. The notebooks which are dated, cover the following periods: November 1946 - December 1953, lab notes 1954 - 1967 , August 1967 - 1996 and 1996 - 2005. This covers periods of work at the National Institute of Medical Research, the Shell Laboratories at Milstead and Sussex University. One of the notebooks does not have or has lost its original cover.
