Correspondence from the Swedish Royal Academy of Sciences, Nobel Committee for Physics concerning Thouless' nomination - dated September 1971.
Correspondence from the Hebrew University of Jerusale, dated 1971 to 1972.
Correspondence to and from the U.S.S.R. Academy of Sciences concerning Reports on Progress in Physics - dated December 1971 to January 1972.
Correspondence concerning Thouless' time on the Panel of External Experts for Mathematical Physics for University of London, dated November 1972.
Correspondence from the Institute of Physics concerning an award of the 1973 Maxwell Medal and Prize, dated December 1962.
Correspondence from Michigan State University with an invitation for a term appointment - dated 12 September 1974.
Correspondence to and from the University of British Colombia concerning a position in theoretical physics - dated September to October 1974.
There are a couple pieces of correspondence received by Thouless of an earlier date that have been stored with papers relating to the University of Birmingham, these are:
Two pieces of correspondence relating to agreements made with Thouless; the first from Bell Telephone Laboratories concerning services to the company, dated 1 August 1962; and the second from an editor at John Wiley & Sons Inc. relating to Thouless' contribution to the Hans Bethe anniversary volume 'Perspectives in Modern Physics', dated 14 July 1965.
Correspondence from The Insititute of Mathematical Sciences in Madras concerning their interest in Thouless for the visiting scientists programme, dated 23 December 1963.
