DescriptionFour items listed, including: "To send a sealed Thermometer to him, and to desire him to keep an account of the observations he shall make about it, September 23 1663"; "To recommend the making of Cyder by infusion, slicing good Cyder-apples, and keeping them infus'd in water and repeating infusions of new apples, to make it as strong as one pleaseth. Item the infusing of slicd apples into the first juyce of press'd apples, for making a kind of double cyder. Item, the putting ordinary Cyder upon malt or Ale-wort upon Apples" and "To engage Mr Gulson to make experiments with the saltish water of the pools in Sommersetshire, to see of what figure it is; how much salt it yields; what effect it hath when mixd with several Liquors".
