In a Letter from Martin Folkes Esqr VPRS dated at Venice Octr 1 1733 this Gentleman is recommended to be a Fellow of the Royal Society as a Person of great Modesty & knowledge in his way & Author of Several Works, which he hath given me to be presented to the Society, one of which is a dissertation on certain fiery Meteors, that have lately appeared and done a pritty deal of Mischief He is likewise Strongly recommended by the Marquis Poleni & Dr Michaelotty.
In regard to the foregoing Recommendations, We have likewise set our hands as approving thereof
