Is recommended by Martin Folkes Esqr VPRS in a Letter from Rome of the 23d Jany 1734 NS in the following Words:
'A Gentleman very well qualified, particularly by his skill in Natural knowledge & Experimental Philosophy; as he reads Lectures here upon the Modern Philosophy, he has done good Service in the putting People in a right way of thinking, & may be said to be one of the greatest promoters of true knowledge in these parts. He is likewise recommended by Sigr Manfredi, & Father Grandi both already Fellows of the Society.'
