A Person well known to the Learned World not only on Account of his descent from Ancestors famous in the Republick of Letters but for his Universal Learning, & also his great zeal in promoting Natural knowledge, of which the Royal Academy of Sciences is a great Instance, in the Regulation whereof in the year 1699 he was very Instrumental.
This Gentleman being desirous of becoming a Member of the Royal Society is recommended by us whose Names are underwritten
