A Gentleman well known to the World for his skill in Astronomy & Mathematicks; he hath for several years published by Order of the Royal Academy of Sciences the Ephemerides called 'Connoissance des Temps' he is Author, of Several Curious peices printed in the memoirs of the Said Academy; of the History of the Same; which he hath lately published, together with the Collection of the first memoires preceeding those printed in the year 1699. & of a General Index of all the Memoires from the begining in 1666 to 1730 and being now desirous of becoming a member of the Royal Society is recommended by us
