A Gentleman of the first quality there and now in London, desiring to offer himself a Candidate for election into this Royal Society: We do accordingly propose him, and recommend him as a person of great Merit, universal Learning, and particularly well versed in Philosophical knowledge, and to whose Civility and regard, many Members of this Society, and others of our Nation have been much obliged in Italy both at Florence and at Rome during his residence there.
