greatly desiring the honour of being Elected into this Royal Society, and being very Strongly recommended to us by our worthy bretheren Monsr de Reaumur, Monsr Bernard de Jussieu, and Mr Trembley. We do accordingly hereby propose him, and upon the credit of those Gentn recommend him, as a person of great Learning and merit, highly esteemed by them, an excellent Chemist and Naturalist, and who has particularly been very assistant to Monsr de Reaumur, in making his Curious Experimts upon Insects, and in other parts of Natural history. Whence we doubt not but he will be a usefull and valuable member of the Society.
