CitationWe underwritten Members of the Royal Society of London being particularly acquainted with the merit of .... Monsr Levret Master in Surgery one of the Perpetual Committee of the Royal Academy of Surgery, Surgeon in Ordinary to the kings ordnance, Author of a Book of Observations on difficult Labours & of a Treatise on Polypus have signed this Certificate and recommend him to the Members of the Royal Society as a Person very expert in all Sciences that have any concern with his Profession & very worthy of the honour of being admitted a member of the Said Society. Given at Paris April 30 1750
From my personal acquaintance with Monsr Levret whose works I had the honour of presenting to the Royal Society in November last I beg leave to Subscribe this Recommendation
