Son merite luy a procure l'honneur d'etre elu membre de la Societe de Florence, et des Academies de Madrid, et de l'Institut de Boulogne, comme aussi d'etre correspondant des Societes Royales des Mompellier et de Gottingue; et je crois que son commerce sera utile a la Societe Royale de Londres. En foi de quoi je luy ai expedie le present Certificat. Turin le 15 9mbre 1757
From the general Character of Dr Charles Allioni, from our Knowledge of him by a long Correspondence to be a Gentleman well versed in Natural History, and from his printed works, whereof his Book Rariorum Pedemonty Stirpiensi has been presented to this Society, we take the Liberty to recommend him, as likely to be a very useful member, and deserving the Honour he desires
