CitationCharles de Mertens MD Knight of the Holy Empire, membre [sic] of the Royal Society of Medicine of Paris and of the Electoral Academie of Sciences of Erfurt, since many years one of the first Practitioners at Vienna; being desirous of becoming a fellow of the Royal Society of London on the Foreign List; We, whose names are underwritten, declare that the same Gentleman is very advantageously known in the Republic of Letters by several very usefull publications, among which are the following
