CitationDistinguished as a Parasitologist, and especially for his knowledge of, and for his original contributions to, the subject of malaria, such as: - 'Epidemic Malaria, with a Note on a Method of Predicting Epidemic Years'; 'Malaria in the Punjab' (Memoir on the Nature of Epidemic Malaria). Has published much original work on the cognate subject of Anopheline mosquitoes, such as : - 'The Pilotaxy of Anopheles'; 'The Male Genitalia of Anopheles'; 'The Geographical Distribution of the Anophelini,' and jointly or alone over sixty papers on malaria, blackwater fever, kalaazar, piroplasma, the bed-bug, the tick, and mosquitoes.
