Distinguished as an investigator on the physiology of reproduction and sex. His most important work is that concerning the properties of the oestrous hormone and the physiology of the oestrous cycle and the relation of the anterior pituitary body to oestrous, ovulation, etc. An indefatigable and versatile worker and a remarkably stimulating investigator as regards his colleagues. He has shown a great originality and an exceptional ingenuity in the conduct of his experimental work.
