DescriptionCitation typed
CitationDistinguished for his many contributions to Nuclear and Elementary Particle Physics. Among his contributions to Field Theory, he gave an independent derivation of the important CPT theorem. He has done much work concerning the theory of many-body systems, advancing particularly our understanding of the nuclear optical model. He has contributed significantly to the theory of Weak Interactions, especially concerning processes induced by high-energy neutrinos, and a unitary relation of central importance for the analysis of CP-violation effects. He is noted also for his discussion and resolution of many paradoxes in these fields or other theoretical work.
