TitleDunitz, Jack David: certificate of election to the Royal Society
DescriptionCitation typed
CitationProfessor Dunitz has applied X-ray crystallographic methods to the study of a very wide variety of structural problems in organic, inorganic and biochemistry. His early successes included the determination of the structures of calciferol, ferrocene and chloramphenicol. Most recently he has made major contributions to our knowledge of the conformation of rings of varying sizes. Of particular importance is his study of the potassium complexes of the macrocyclic antibiotics, enniatin B, nonactin and related compounds which are connected with potassium ion transport.
