CitationDistinguished for twenty-five years of work on the design of aircraft. Following a fruitful period of study of theoretical supersonic aerodynamics in Australia, Dr. Strang rejoined the Bristol Aeroplane Company and has steadily progressed to the post of Technical Director, Commercial Aircraft Division, British Aircraft Corporation. He has had much real technical responsibility for various successful aircraft, and especially Concorde: he is currently joint Technical Director of the Concorde projects, for the engineering of which he has been largely responsible.
