CitationHe has made original observations on the peptides of picornaviruses, particularly foot-and-mouth-disease virus, and has combined biochemical, immunological and electron-microscopic techniques to deduce something of their position in the particle and function. He has made comparative biophysical and chemical studies of picornaviruses and rhabdoviruses and used the results to improve the basis of clarifying these viruses.
