CitationSue Ion is a renowned world authority on nuclear engineering and technology whose services are sought by the Governments of the United Kingdom, the United States of America and the European Union. She has been a strong advocate for Nuclear Power based on a logical analysis of the needs of the United Kingdom and a deep but realistic understanding of the technical and commercial issues involved. Her earlier career with BNFL gave her theoretical and practical hands on experience in all aspects of the fuel cycle from fuel manufacture and reprocessing to nuclear power generation and waste disposal.
