Citation | Andrew Livingston is the world leader in Organic Solvent Nanofiltration. His creation of molecular separation membranes which are stable in organic solvents has resulted in ground-breaking new families of membranes, which are now widely used in academia and industry. He has applied these innovative membranes to develop new platforms for organic liquids processing and his ideas for catalyst recycle, purification and solvent exchange have been widely adopted. He has successfully transferred laboratory research into industrial separation processes employing membranes. He has achieved this impact on engineering practice while maintaining a pre-eminent academic research profile and reputation withn the academic community. |
