File including numbered list of correspondence (letters, telegrams), with summary of contents, received from and sent to the Halley Bay advance party expedition team. The file includes some text to be issued as press releases. Primarily the correspondence comes from Dalgliesh, on the Tottan and later at the Halley Bay base. D C Martin also features. Frequent themes include concerns over postage costs, communications to the press, problems with electrical interference, penguins (experiments with and stuffing samples for Natural History Museum), construction work and building materials.
