TitleSolomon Islands [South-West Pacific] Expedition papers
Date1965
DescriptionThe Royal Society's expedition to the Solomon Islands ran from July to December 1965 and consisted of both a land and marine party. For more information on the expedition see Hemmen, George E 'Royal Society Expeditions in the second half of the twentieth century' Notes and Records 64 (2010) pp. S89 - S99. Unlike some of the other expeditions this collection does not include any Committee papers, falling under the remit of the Southern Zone Research Committee means there is no separate body for the Solomon Islands expedition, although this does not explain the absence of Solomon Island working group minutes which appear not to have been retained.

Film footage from the expedition can be found under reference number AV/3.
