Also, correspondence from 1945 on Goldschmidt's experiences during the Second World War. (During occupation of Norway, Goldschmidt was arrested and in October 1942 was sent to a concentration camp. At the end of November he was sentenced to deportation to Poland. This order was cancelled, and in December 1942 Goldschmidt escaped across the border into Sweden in a load of hay, coming to Britain in the Spring of 1943)).
