CreatorPritchard; Charles (1808-1893); British astronomer
Date26 December [no year - 1859-1860?]
DescriptionMars is in a bad situation for next June, since he cannot reach low stars with his equatorial, but he hopes to do something. Their meteor observations are confined to two daily. He hopes to have a few hours with Sir John and Lady Herschel before Sunday. Alex [Alexander Stewart Herschel] may be his guest on 2-3 January, after which he may take possession of two rooms in Pritchard's house next door, describing the possible arrangements. Pritchard's son Edward has rooms there until he goes to St John's College Cambridge in February. His eldest son [Charles Bradley Pritchard] is doing admirably at Belgaum [Belgavi]. Herschel's plans will be followed loyally.
