TitleLetter from C [Charles] Pritchard, [Clapham], to Sir John [Frederick William Herschel]
CreatorPritchard; Charles (1808-1893); British astronomer
Dateno date [30 November 1844]
DescriptionHerschel's little boy [William James Herschel] is so much better that Pritchard is sorry to have troubled him on the subject. He was consigned to Mrs Pritchard's care and a little nursing has brought him round. Pritchard is sorry that the boy will be leaving at this time as they about to begin trigonometry and the binomial. If Herschel could help him with this in the holidays, he will have what the class knows. They are also doing the easy tales of Herodotus. They have reason to be pleased with Herschel's son. If it should prove impossible to send all his wardrobe, it will be forwarded.
