Description ' Commissioner Pett and Mr Wind admitted.

Dr Croone was desired to give an account in writing of the Experiments of Wires against next day.

Mr Haak intending to goe to Colchester, undertook to make further inquiries about Oysters, and in particular about their spawning, multiplication in their pitts, dispersion of their spawn by the Tides etc.

A proposition was made, by a person brought in by the Amanuensis, of melting Lead Oare with Pit-coale, with lesse charge and in a shorter time yielding also a greater quantity of Lead out of the Oare, then other ways doe. It was thought good he should state his proposition in writing, and conferre with My Lord Brouncker and Sir Robert Moray concerning it.
It was suggested, that Mr Povey might bee desired to send to Damascus about their way there of making steel.

Mr Colwall moved, that the inquire about Ebbing and Flowing about St Helena might be recommended to some; that are goeing thether: and he was desired to send it, as it was stated by Mr Rooke.

My Lord Brouncker brought in his solution of Dr Goddards third Mercuriall Experiment; and the Amanuensis was Orderd to draw the figure of it in greate, against next day.

Mr Evelyn having conferrd with Commissioner Pett concerning the Account, he was to bring in of the best way of planting etc propating Timber - Trees, was desird to hasten that part of it, which concerns the way of preparing Acorns for planting.

Mr Powle's description of the whispering place at Gloucester, was brought in by Mr Oldenburg, and being read, it was ordered Mr Powle should be thanked for his paines and the Scheme bee drawne in great against next day, which mr Wind undertook to doe.

Sir Rob: Moray, Mr Evelyn and Mr Hoskins were desired, to bring in, in writing the Histories, they related of Echo's, against next day.

Dr Croone mentioned a way proposed by Mr Staall, of destroying Gold irreducibly. Hee was desired to informe himself of it more particularly.

Dr Merrett Shewd the Society his Materia Vitraria: for which he received their thanks, being deing desired, to leave a part of each of the materials with the Society.

Mr Haak proposed a compendious way of repertory, and was desired to communicate it to the Society.

Sir Robert Moray proposed a person willing to bee entertaind, as a Curator, by the Society; and offering to furnish them every day they meete, with three or 4 considerable Experiments, with no recompense, till the Society get a Stock enabling them to give it. The proposition was received unanimously, Mr Hook being named to be the person. '
