Mr Pell promised to give an Accompt of the mercuryall [crossed out; of the] Experiment of Lilnes formerly recommended to him, Sir Robert Moray and Dr Wilkins, it being made both by himselfe in private, and before the Society, where my Lord Brouncker also made it twice, and all the Tryalls agreed in this, that, contrary to Mr Hugen's expectation the finger stuck, fast to the Tube of Mercury, the particulars whereof Dr goddard will bring in writing.
Dr Charleton was allowed to keep for a fortnight Dr Merrett's and Mr Wild's observations, concerning the ordering of Wines, to compare them with his owne, and to reduce them all into one body, and so to returne them to the society; Mr Wild was thanked also, for these observations of his.
Monsieur Zulichem's letter to Sir Robert Moray was reak, conteining an answer to Mr Hobbs's defence of certain Geometricall Problems, about the duplication of the Cubes, [crossed out; and the additions of propositions ] And it was ordered to be sent to Mr Hobbs, by the means of the Stationer appointed by himself, to receive the judgments of Forreigne Mathematicians, concerning this matter.

Dr Merrit gave some Accompt of the freezing of stinking saltwater, viz. That the Ice fo it, thawed, retained ti's Saltnesse, though somewhat refracted, but had quite lost it's stink. He was desired to be mindfull of the other Experiments of freezing, recommended to him.
Mr Boyle also was desired to communicate his Experiments of Frost, which he promised to doe at his first convenience.
Mr Hook made again the Experiment of weighing ascending and descending bodies in water, but another was; The written Accompt of all, he was desired to bring in, next day.
Mr Wild promised to communicate an Accompt of Ferments.
Mr Graunt delivered the extracts of two Letters from Sir William Petty.
Mr Hook proposed the following experiment to be made next meeting, viz. 1. To shew thh [crossed out; refraction] difference in the Refraction of warme water and cold; 2. The difference in the weight of warme water and cold; 3. the living of Insects in condensed Air.
To which he added a suggestion, concerning the rectifying of Chimneys, Or the ways of ardering the combustible materials, so, as that with a smaller soncumption of the fuell, a greater heat may be given, then is done by the common ways yet in use.
Mr Pell mentioned something converning the figures of the weight hung to a pendulum - Clock; viz. that a lesse weight of a long figure, will make a pendulum clock to goe, as well as a greater weight of a round figure.
Sir Robert Moray suggested the use of black Lead in Engines, in stead of Oyle.
Mr Winthrop mentioned, that there was no right black lead any wher, but in England and in New England.
The same presented the Society with a written Accompt of Indian Cores, which was Ordered to be entred. '
