Description ' Mr Halley reported that he had considered Monsieur Aymon's Letter referred to him; that divers particulars contained therein have been already treated of by Dr Hooke, and Printed in the Transactions; and that the rest were very difficult and scarcely to be performed.

Dr Tyson said that he saw a Woodlouse which a person (who had swallowed many of them, ) voided with his Urine.

Dr Sloane shewed an Ivory-seal formerly belonging to the Abbey of St Albans and an Impression of the Common Seal of Cambridge [in margin, 'Town or University?'] Both were thought to be 500 years old.

Dr Woodward produced some pieces of past, or coloured Glass, sent to him from Puozzeli, which Past he supposed was taken from some of the antient pavements of Mosaic worke.

The same shewed some Earth sent from China, said to be that they make their Pots of.

The same shewed a piece of a very fine French pot, resembling China ware.

The same shewed a piece of Native Cinnabar from China; Dr Sloane said that Martinius mentions it in his Atlas Siniensis under the name of [blank]

Mr Houghton said that he was informed that the people of East-India used to fix their Colours with Fern Japonica or Catechu. Mr Pettiver said that it was Catechen.

Dr Sloane shewed a Draught of the Continent of China and of the Island about Chusan done by Mr Cunningham from an actual Survey.

Mr Ludlow presented the Society with a pair of cheating Ballances from China.

The same presented some Flowers of Lilly of Valleys from Muscovy. He was thanked.

An account was read from Mr Hayes of several Maggotts taken from an ulcer in the Ear. '
