' Mr Derham was permitted to be present, and the Vice President thanked him for his Communications.

Dr Woodward said that Mr Buckley had written to him from Fort St George that a Gentyle of that Countrey had promised to discover to him a way of Purging by Smell.

Monsieur Chardeloup and Mr Lowthorp were permitted to be present.

Mr Ludlow presented the Society with the Skins of a Male and Female Viper. He was thanked.

Mr Houghton shewed a piece of Pen-work, imitating Cards etc, with several Specimens of Writing, all done by George Buckham a youth. He was thanked.

Mr Houghton, Mr Arthington, Dr Woodward, Mr Thompson, and Mr Pettiver were Ballotted for, and chosen as auditors of the Accounts.

Mr Derham and Mr Chardeloup were proposed to be Members of the Society.

A letter was Read from Mr Thoresby to Dr Sloane, describing several Roman Antiquities lately found in Yorkshire. Mr Thoresby was Ordered to be Thanked.

Mr Pettiver presented his first Decad of Natural Things, together with their Descriptions, and was thanked.

Dr Woodward presented 2 Chinese Coins, and a Japanese Mirroir, for which he was Thanked. '
