Description ' Dr Ent's Table of Lignum fossile sent him out of Italy was produced; He was desired to permit that some shavings of it might be distilled, to see, what this kind of wood would yield: which being granted by him, the Operator was ordered to imploy a Joyner to plain this table for some shavings.

Mr Hook was deisred to look upon a peice of this wood in his Microscope.

Mr Henshaw was desired to produce his book that treateth of the Lignum fossile, or to give an Extract of what is there discoursed of it; which he promised to do.

Mr Hook's Account concerning the Experiment made at the last meeting, of weighing the Compressing Engine with condensed air in it, was read, and ordered to be Entered.

The same Experiment was ordered to ber made again more Exactly at the next meeting: and the Operator appointed to provide a pair of fit Scales for the weighing of the said Engine.

Mr Hook produced the new Perspective - Engin of Prince Rupert's invention, together with his own Additions, to cast embossed things into perspective, as wwell as Plat - forms.

It was ordered, that this Engine be shewed to Prince Rupert; but that first two Rulers of Wood be put in the place of the two threds, that direct the Parallelisme.

Ordered that the Gun be made ready by the Operator to apply to the Condensing - Engin, against next day. '

Accounts were given of the Exhausting of Air from Spirit of Wine by Dr Goddard, and Mr Boyle.

' Mr Hook produced a Microscopical Observation of the hair of an Indian Deer, which represents it to be like a Spunge, not like Quills.

Dr Ent being called upon for his Observations of Springs promised to bring them in, after his Lecture. '

Discussion on poisons and vipers, with comments from Mr Boyle and Dr Croon.

Discussion on eels by Dr Wren, Mr Boyle, and Mr Henshaw, and Mr Hook asked to make observations of fish-spawn with the microscope.
