' Dr Wood of Lyttelton, and Mr Ryve, two Gentlemen lately elected into the Society, having paid thier admission Fees, and the sum of twenty guineas each in lieu of contributions, and having subscribed the obligation, were admitted Fellows by the President. '

Presents received;

' The President read from the Chair, the second time, the Statute relative to the ensuing Election of a Council and Officers. '

Letters received;
1. From Mr Ellicot FRS to Dr Birch FRS dated Royal Exchange 26 November 1761, with an enclosed letter to Mr Ellicot dated Stockholm 30 October 1761 with presents for the Society and an account of the observations made by Mr Planman and Cajanebourg distant from Stockholm 38' 40'' to 45'': in this place the latter interval contact of Venus is said to have been at 22h 7' 58''
2. Letter from Joseph Harris to the Presedent of 25 November 1761 at the Tower of London enclosing a paper with an account of the Transit of Venus over the Sun as observed at Tresecka in Brecknockshire by Mr Harris [Account given in full]
3. Letter from Dr Frank Nichols to the President of 20 October 1761 concerning his observations on opening the body of his late Majesty [Account given in full]
