The following had leave to be present;

Gifts presented:
1. 'The Theory and practice of brewing' printed London 1762 from the author, Michael Combrune via Mr Allix FRS
2. 'Meteorological Observations for the year 1761 made at the Hague', by Mr Gabry FRS and presented via Mr Da Costa FRS
3. Mr Da Costa also communicated a letter from Mr Gabry of 5 January 1762 in which 'he mentions that he saw Venus upon the disk of th Sun on the 6th of June last, but was prevented by the clouds from observing the exit. '

Communications received;
1. Read a paper dated 23 Decembe 1761 at London entitled "Observations upon some gems, similar to the Tournaline, ' by Benjamin Wilson FRS presented by Mr Da Costa. [Account in detail]. Mr Da Costa exhibitied 'a considerable number of the green and black crystals aforesaid '.
2. Letter from Henry More Esq to Dr Birch FRS in which ' having taken notice of the improvability of an undercurrent setting outward, to ballance the great influx of waters into the Mediterranean Sea; Mr More endeavours from his own observations, to establish the existence of a middle stream, which may be sufficient to dispose of the surplus water. Mr More's observations were made during a long residence in those parts, sixteen years of which were spent at Gibraltar. List the observations in detail
3. A paper containing the case of William Colebrook, was communicated by Mr Warner FRS from Dr Frewin of Sussex. [Case described in detail]
4. The reading of Mr Costard's paper, concerning the passage of the Children of Israel over the Red Sea, was resumed; and the remainder was referred to another meeting.
