' Dr Baker, and Dr Ducarnel, two Gentlemen formerly proposed according to the statute, were elected Fellows of the Society. '

Communications received;
1. President communicated extract of a letter from William Harrison to his father, John Harrison of Red Lyon Square; and a copy of a letter to the same John Harrison, from Dudley Diggs Esq dated Madeira 18 December 1761. Extract and letter give some account of the Watch, sent to Jamaica, by order of the Commissioners of the longitude. [Brief account summarised the voyage events and results.]
2. Letter to Dr Birch FRS from D Franklyn of Craven Street of 4 February 1762 together with another lettter to Dr Franklyn from John Canton of Spital Square of 21 January 1762, read. They contain Mr Canton's experiments as performed in the presence of Dr Franklyn, to account for the irregularities, observed by Mr Delaval, in his electrical experiments upon Portland Stone, Tobacco pipe, Wood etc under different degrees of heat. 3. Read translation by Dr Parsons of a Latin letter addressed to C Morton FRS dated at Schwezingen on 23 June 1762 and signed Christianus Mayer ex Soc. Jesu, giving an account of the observations 'concerning the late transit of Venus, which were made at Schwezingen, in the garden of the Elector Palatine. 4. Read paper entitled ' A letter to the Reverend Mr Swinton FRS upon his late conjectures on an inedited Parthian coin by J Nixon FRS ' containing remarks upon a Latin note of Mr Swinton, subjoined to his Dissertation aresaid, p 691 of the last volume of the Transctions. [Gives comprehensive account]
5. Completed reading dissertation by Mr Costard concerning the passage of the Israelites over the Red Sea. [Account given in detail]
