Mr Planta by Dr Morton

' Mr Robert Burrow, elected at the last meeting,having paid his admission fee, and the further sum of twenty guineas, in lieu of contributions; and having also signed his name in the charter book, was admitted a Fellow of the Society '

Communications;
1. 'Dr Wilmer, professor of Botany at the physic Gardens at Chelsea, attended on the part of the worshipful the Company of Apothecaries; and delivered in and demonstrated to the Society, the fifty plants, directed by the will of Sir Hans Sloane: which number completes the two thousand distinct plants due upon the said will to the Society. ' Thanks ordered to Professor Wilmer and the Apothecaries.
2. Read a letter addressed to the Society of 10 March 1762 from Andover and signed J Merrick, describing a phenomenon in the Heavens, observed on 10 March at 7 in the evening, being a 'complete circle parallel to the Horizon, having the Zenith for its center and the Moon in its periphery.' [Details given]
3. 'Mr Hudson of Panton street FRS presented a Paper, drawn up by himself, consisting of 14 pages in quarto, wherein he gives an account of, and remarks upon a work entitled "Jacobi Christiani Schaeffer Icones et descriptio Fungorum quorundam singularium et memorabilium" which paper was read and thanks returned to Mr Hudson for the same. '
