' A certificate recommending Thomas Tyndall Esquire, Dr of Laws, his Majesty's proctor, for election into this Society, dated London 6 May 1762 and signed Andrew Coltee Ducarel, Thomas Birch, Josiah Colebrook, and Dan Wray was read, and ordered to be put up in the publick meeting room.

As was likewise a second certificate in favour of Mr Richard Pultney of Leicester, Apothecary, dated London 6 May 1762 and signed, Macclesfield, William Watson, George Baker, and Willoughby.'

Communications;
1. A manuscript dissertation in Latin, in the medical way, from the author Joseph Benvenutus 'Plusius Lucensis' to be translated into English
2. The President 'communicated Mr Mason's observations, made at St Helena to prove the going of Mr Ellicot's clock.' Referred to Mr Short to give an account of them.
3. Two letters frm the Reverend James Bones MA Minister of Wattisham near Stow Market in Suffolk, dated 21 April and 30 April 1762 communicated by George Baker MD, FRS concerning the unfortunate family of John Downing recently recounted by Dr Wollaston. [Account given]
4. Letter to Mr Robertson FRS from James Lynd dated at the Royal Hospital at Haslar 26 April 1762 and one from Mr Robertson to Dr Birch FRS concerning Dr Lynd's success in the production of fresh water from sea water by destillation. [Full account given]
5. Part of a dissertation concerning the value of fossil coal by Mr Maine wae read and referred to a later meeting.
