Communications; 1. Paper entitled 'An Account of Mr Mason's Paper, concerning the going of Mr Ellicott's Clock at St Helena; by James Short MA FRS ' was read. [Account given, not in detail] 2. Mr Short communicated his own and Dr Bevis's observations of the late eclipse of the moon on 8 May 1762; one at Surrey Street, and the other at Dr Bevis's. [Account not listed] 3. Letter addressed to Dr Birch FRS dated Chelsea 12 May 1762 signed Samuel Dunn read, concerning Mr Dunn's observations of the late Eclipse of the Moon as made by him at Chelsea 8 May 1762 4. Letter from Mr de la Lande of the Academy of Sciences of Paris containing his apology for the mistake in his 'Conoissance des Mouvemens celestes ' for 1762 5. Letter to Dr Franklin FRS dated Ashford, Kent 5 October 1761 signed Samuel Evatt read describing a sepulchral monument lately discovered at Wardlow, near Ashford, in Derbyshire. 6. Reading of Mr Main's paper concerning fossil coal was continued.
