Dr Jay of Pennsylvania by Dr Morton

'Mr Fixherbert and Mr Webb two Gentlemen formerly proposed, according to the statute, were put to the ballot, and elected Fellows of the Society.'

Gifts received from their respective authors by the hands of Charles Morton FRS;
1. 'Relation abregee du Voyalge de MrAnguetil du Perron, dans les Indes Orientalis' printed at Paris 1762
2. 'Essai sur les Atlantiques par Frederic BAer de la Chapelle Royale des Swedes a Paris' octavo, printed at Paris in 1762

Communications
1. Mr da Costa reported concerning the 'Opuscula subcesiva' by Mr Baster, referenced to him by the Society, that he had found nothing therin which merited particular report to the Society
2. Read a letter addressed to Dr Birch FRS dated at Pall Mall on 29 October 1762 and signed Charlton Wollaston concerning the family in Suffolk afflicted with 'the remarkable mortification in their limbs'. [Account given in detail]
3. Read a letter to Mr Baker FRS dated at Norwich 9 November 1762 and signed William Arderon, concerning the circumstances of the late gret floods as observed at Norwich. [Brief account listed]
4. Read Dr Hadley's account of Sir Christopher Meighan's paper, entitled 'An Inquiry into the Cause of Heat in bituminous Waters, and of their specific variations'
5. Mr Braun of Petersburgh's observations of the late Transit of Venus communicaed, and ordered to be translated from Latrin by Dr Maty FRS
6. Read a letter to Dr Birch FRS dated at Chelsea on 4 September 1762 and signed Samuel Dun, and referred to Mr Mountain FRS to give an account of it.
7. Read a letter to Mr Granville Sharp, at the Office of Ordnance, dated at Hartrum on 20 August 1762 and signed J Sharp, containing a second letter to Archdeacon Sharp, dated at Alnwick on 7 August 1762 and signed Dr. Hastings.
Both of the last two letters, relating to the Transit of Venus, were referred to Mr Short FRS.
